It was a close finish, as Smith beat out Mattoli2121 by one win. During his run, Smith recorded streaks of seven, eight and 11. The Philadelphia police officer used the strategy of picking early and picking often. "My goal was to maximize the number of picks made. Although, during the final week, my motivation wasn't for the prize money, but rather to have the opportunity to get mentioned on the 'Streak Speak' video segment with Molly Qerim," Smith said.
